Road to 1000 is an independent fan site that tracks Erling Haaland’s career goals and asks one question: at his current rate, could he reach 1000?

What counts

Every goal for his senior clubs and for Norway’s senior national team, in all competitions. Goals for Norway’s youth teams are left out.

Where the numbers come from

Goal data comes from Transfermarkt and is refreshed once a day, so a new goal usually shows up by the next morning. The occasional correction — a minute, an assist or a goal type — is made by hand.

The projection

The projection takes his average goals per season over the last three completed seasons and assumes he keeps that pace. It’s a straight line, not a forecast: it ignores injuries, age and transfers.
